Happy Birthday DTM!

I know it has been awhile since the last update, but it has been quite a week for us at the Bukowski household. No matter. we can get right back into it. But first and foremost:


Yep, it is his birthday. And like the dorks we are, I, in fact, got him an Abmat that he has been wanting. Ha!

WOD: Filthy Fifty

50 Box Jumps
50 Pull-Ups
50 KB Swings
50 Lunges
50 KTE
50 Push Press 45lbs
50 Back Extensions
50 Wall Balls
50 Burpees
50 Double Unders

I always love/hate the Filthy Fifty. I love it because I like the challenge of beating my old time. I hate it because I am SO slow at several of the movements. Anyway, I am able to do heavier weights now, but my time is slower. That is alright because I am going to use the same weights the next time that I used this time to really see how much better I can do. For the first time ever, I used the 16lb ball for Wall Balls! Wohoo! I also used a 16kg KB and Ol' Blue for the Pull-Ups. I finished in 38:44. Oh! And I did way better on the Double Unders. It was cool.

For time:

30 Wall Balls

40 Sit-Ups
1 Net/Rope Climb

Hang Cleans have already been hard for me. This time I made it up to 105. Not too bad for me. The rest of the WOD was good. I really hate Rowing but there is snow on the ground and it was cold and...well, I was a wuss. Plus I need to get better at Rowing. Anyway, I finished in 18:23.

This was hard. The Lunges were weighted and I used a 15lb dumbbell. I had to use Ol' Blue for the Pull-Ups but the Sit-ups were no problem. I have no idea how long it took me but I was the last one done. Ouch.

ME Deadlift

For Time:

100 Squats
400m Run
75 Squats
400m Run
50 Squats
400m Run
25 Squats
400m Run

The Deadlift had several reps/sets and I ended with 175 to avoid hurting my back, which I inevitably do when we do Deadlift. The rest of the WOD was fantastic mostly because I love Squats. I finished under 15 minutes but I can't remember the exact time. Love it. Here is me in about 50 years:
