|No dairy! And no more happiness...|
However, I like junk food. A lot. And just like everyone else, I regularly struggle with what I eat. Actually, let me rephrase that: I struggle daily with what I WANT to eat.
For instance, Wednesdays are super busy days for me. I teach the 6 and 7 am classes and go straight to school, with no shower or nuthin' in between (my classmates LOVE me). Sometimes I even remember a change of clothes. I DO, however, remember my super delicious strawberry chocolate protein smoothie since I am about to die of starvation after the gym. Sometimes after class I have to run errands, so before the errand running AND before I pass out (again, from starvation. What? It is a long class!), I stop at Chipotle for a burrito bowl. This is where I run into trouble.
Here is what I want to order EVERY. SINGLE. TIME: A burrito bowl with a lot of rice, black beans, and some pork. A little more pork. 2 scoops of tomato salsa. A scoop of tomatillo. Some cheese. A little more cheese. Sour cream. A little more sour cream. Just a little more sour cream. Finally, some more sour cream. Guacamole. And CHIPS! Don't forget the chips. And heck, throw in some extra sour cream. And a side of guacamole.
This is what I actually order while I am inwardly fighting with the Paleo Angel (who, coincidentally, looks like DTM in a caveman outfit) and the Fatty McFatster Devil (who looks like a burrito now that I think about it): A burrito bowl, no rice, black beans (yes, I know, not Paleo), meat (usually chicken but sometimes steak), 2 scoops of tomato salsa, a scoop of tomatillo salsa, and guacamole.
I know deep down in my stomach, the way I usually order things is better for me and I feel better eating like that. But that doesn't stop me from WANTING copious amounts of sour cream and chips.

The Dumbbell Bear Complex
5x on the minute for 12 minutes:
I used 30# dumbbells for these and it was challenging. I have a love/hate relationship with the Bear. I like that it is short enough that I can really push myself, but boy, do those minutes stink! I felt pretty good after this one, though.

400m Human Carry
I am happy to say that I squatted 175# for my 3 work sets of 3 reps. This is my old max. I did hear/feel a Snap! Crackle! Pop! during one of them and was worried that I messed up my back real good. It is fine, shockingly enough! And before you yell at me, there was no warning. There was no feeling of pain beforehand. It just happened! I then Push Pressed 125# for the 3 work sets of 3 reps. A new max. Afterwards, I got talked into a 400m human carry where teams of 3 worked together to move 400m only having two people touching the ground at a time, meaning that the third was carried. Super fun!

I did this as prescribed in 6:58 or 6:59. My PR is 5:53, so I am not too worried about the exact time. I was sort of bummed that I didn't do better BUT it was a Friday and I am always whipped then. That is not an excuse, just a fact.
In other news, I am going to what hopefully is my last A&P I class ever tonight. I have a test to take then I FINALLY get to go to a cook out at CFTC! Yay!
