I'm a New Aunt!

DTM described this week perfectly. This was a "tired week." Both of us have been exhausted for no apparent reason. We are really looking forward to just chilling out this weekend. The only thing I regret about this is that I am not in Ohio to be with my sister, brother-in-law, and brand spankin' new nephew Miles Isaiah. he was born at 5:07pm on Wednesday, March 16th!. 7lbs and 5oz, 20 inches long. I am hoping to go see him soon, after things get settled down at their house. I can't wait!

In honor of his birth, I am supplying him (like any good aunt should) his very first CrossFit shirts:

And of course, I couldn't resist:

Yes, I know it is lavender. No, I don't care. 
I can't wait to give them to him! I am pretty confident he'll be doing muscles up before me! I am already in love and I haven't even seen him in real life! I AM SO EXCITED!!!

That being said, life went on as usual for us, but my mind has been on him and my sister and bil. I have been very distracted this week, even moreso than usual. Oh well. Here is this week's recap:

This was a great one. None of them gave me problems and I finished in 25:05. My goal was to finish in under 25. Almost!

5 Rounds:
Max Rep DB Floor Presses
20 Ball Tosses
Max Rep Pull Ups

I did OHS instead of Deadlifts and to my surprise, they did not hurt my back, thank goodness. My working sets of 3 reps went as follows: 95#, 105#, and 115#. This was encouraging. I finished the rest of the WOD with 40# DB, a 20# ball for tosses, and the blue band for pulls ups.

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

30 second L Sits
10 Lateral Box Jumps

I had a hard time doing the L-Sits and could not do them at all because my back would not let me bend my legs. I ended up just holding myself on the rings and attempted to do it for 15 seconds. I also was able to jump the smallest hurdle and the smallest box without my back hurting. Yay! I finished about 5 rounds, I think.

I managed to do 115# for both of these lifts. Not my best, but better than last week for the Squats.

Wall Balls (20/12)
Thrusters (75/45)

This one stunk. I thought I was going to die. I didn't even finish in the first class because I had to start the second class, so I finished with them. I also learned that SDLHP are really not my friends. I used 30# for the swings and a 12# ball for the Wall Balls. Thrusters were done with 45#. usually after a hard WOD, I feel good after. After this one, I felt even more lousy.

I liked this one but was slow as rowing hurts. I finished in about 30 minutes.

Anyway, hopefully next week will be less hectic! I plan on resting this weekend and getting my brain back in my head. If I can find it!
